Through our diverse range of programs, we empower youth to become confident, capable, and socially responsible members of their communities. Our program will be developed and guided by active youth consultation assessing their real need. We will be working towards nurturing leadership abilities in young individuals through mentorship, training, exposure, exchange opportunities and by providing them with options to spearhead initiatives. It is of utmost importance to equip our youth with the requisite support, education, and opportunities that will enable them to enhance their leadership skills and emerge as influential leaders. We are committed to empowering and equipping young individuals to become proactive global citizens through a comprehensive approach.
Youth in Action meets its goals and objectives by delivering following programs.
Our Programs
Youth in Leadership (You-LEAD)
Empowering youth to embrace leadership values, foster community engagement, and participate in civic actions through You-LEAD, connecting them with opportunities for growth and impact.
Youth Economic Empowerment (YEE)
Providing youth with internships to indirectly immerse them in Canadian workplace culture, offering paid placements, employment pathways, culture training, summer jobs, financial literacy, and mentorship for skill-aligned job placement.
Reconciliation through social innovation (RECONSI)
Facilitating reconciliation and leadership development among BAMIN youth through retreats and engagement workshops, fostering dialogue, relationship-building, and bridge-building initiatives.
Enabling Newcomer Youth for Integration (ENI)
Connecting newcomer youth with resources and tools for successful settlement and integration, collaborating with Settlement Agencies in the Waterloo Region to overcome barriers and promote community inclusion.
Capacity Building Initiatives (CBI)
Offering employment-related training including first aid, CPR, food handlers' certificates, and professional development, along with online leadership training services to enhance youth skills and employability.
Sustainable Development Goals (SustGoCC)
Promoting and educating Sustainable Development Goals through Youth Unite Initiative, focusing on eradicating poverty, ensuring quality education, fostering gender equality, promoting decent work and economic growth, climate action, and fostering partnerships for sustainable development.
