Mahendra has been working as an Engineering Planner as part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) with Bruce Power since 2017. Bruce Power is Canada’s only private sector nuclear generator, annually producing 30 percent of Ontario’s power. The MCR project provides clean, reliable, low-cost electricity up to 2064 and beyond. During his professional career which spans almost three decades, he has the experience of working in various capacities.
Mahendra has served as a President of a community organization, NCCWR for more than 3 years and have the experience of working as a Project Officer for 6 years with the
Practical Action Nepal,
which worked in partnership with a United Kingdom based International not-for-profit organization working in the field of Access to Infrastructure in Nepal.
Mahendra holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kathmandu University, Bachelor of Engineering from Marathwada University, India and Master Certificate in Project Management from the University of Saskatchewan. He also has the experience of working as a Project Planner (Technical) at Allan Construction Saskatoon. Worked as a Project Specialist /Planner with the Stantec Consulting Ltd. and Project Specialist with the Jacobs Industrial Services Ltd.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mahendra is actively serving as an Advisor to the
Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) of Canada for the last two years. He also serves as an Executive Board Advisor for Nepalese Canadian Community of Waterloo Region (NCCWR)
Youth in Action is very proud to have Mahendra in our Team as a Vice-President and most importantly, he is also in our 5 Member- Task Force to steer and enable Youth in Action to achieve its strategic goal of Vision 2030, in the year 2030. Youth in Action aims to be one of the leading youth-serving organization in the Region of Waterloo.
